“Nate’s about to do something stupid with your niece.” Bella said from the kitchenette in the Royal Suites.
Seb paused in his reading then lowered his book and stared straight ahead for another moment. “Why do I get the feeling you’re about to do something stupid in regards to our niece?” He asked looking over at her as she made it to the couch with a snack bowl of her favoured gelatin candies shaped to resemble various fantastical creatures..
Bella glared at him for that. “Are you not concerned about the combination of Nate and adventure? And, therefore, Abbie, Nate and Adventure?”
“Sure, but she adores him and ever since the fen’ra, Nate’s been far more sociable, especially with her. This ‘adventure of theirs is doing both of them some good. Plus, no matter how concerned I could be I am not her father and Jake gave his blessing. Who am I to argue with the Draconis if he believes the Kelevra has his daughters safety top of mind?”
Bella furrowed her brow at him. “I hate how much I love how logical you are.” She leaned forward to give him a kiss. “But it’s not going to stop me.” She said getting back up and heading for the door.
The King of Scythera turned to watch his Queen. “Where are you going?”
“See if Kassie wants to go on an adventure.” She said disappearing out the door.
He sighed before throwing his head back and calling out. “IVY!”
The blonde Knight popped her head in a different door. “Yessir?”
Seb pointed to the door Bella left from. “Follow her.”
“On it boss.” She gave him a lackadaisical salute and headed off.
“Prepare for trouble!” He called after her.
“Always!” Ivy assured.
