This is one of those rare ‘Cross had an idea and wanted to do it’ scenes. Drawing it first then adding in the dialogue. Kris supplying the dialogue for the last seven panels.
Ah the Draconis. Cross like’s drawing dragons, though technically this one SHOULD be an ‘energy dragon.’

FINALLY! Figured out how to do Aly’s skintone! It was one of those lightbulb moments, I realized I had cool grey Copics, and voilà. ~ Cross Also helped that I finally remembered what reference to show her. ~K

Originally there was supposed to be a table in that room, so Maddie could pound her hands down on it. But I dislike tables. So the sofa got a beating. ~ Cross (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ ~K
I really wanted to leave Nate’s high five hanging longer, but just didn’t have the proper space. ~ Cross
The single longest strip ever so far. This took seven pages. SEVEN. ~ Cross Pose reference for the Evans and Corora together: Deviantart’s MartaNael Twenty plus years of existence in my head and Rayne is finally on paper. ~K
Seriously, I was so tired of that yellow wall. I wanted to celebrate when this scene came and it marked me being done with it. ~ Cross
Personally I thought the lab looked way better in pencils. The screens are a photoshop addition and helped my opinion of how it all looked. ~ Cross
Panel count wise, technically this is the longest strip, though it took one less page of drawing than scene 51.
